Though this is not much of a retrospect. It feels happy to list down the things that has been completed or materialzied. This year seem to be a relatively more productive. And below are the things that is feel worth listing down.

  • Bought a new home (of course with help of my father and loan).

  • Took my family to a 5 day trip.

  • Completed reading the below books,

    • Algorithms to Live By: The Computer Science of Human Decisions

    • The Practicing Mind: Bringing Discipline and Focus into Your Life

    • Clojure for the Brave and True

    • The Prophet

    • Becoming a Technical Leader: An Organic Problem-Solving Approach

    • Man’s Search for Meaning

    • The Last Lecture

  • Wrote around 11 blogs.

  • Took a 100 day code challenge, started with clojure and got a better understanding of functional programming which I was thinking for a long time.

  • Almost single-handedly developed a analytics module for one of our product.

  • Gave a talk on Clojure.

  • Took a regex series to my team.

  • Contributed a couple of bugfixes to some opensource projects.

Lot of above actions opened up new paths as it usually happens with any action. It’s in my hand to choose the needed paths. Magizhchi :-)
